Not functional for Lapland. The dull plastic edge doesn't dig through mossy or gravelly ground, which was 95% of the terrain I encountered in Lapland. I will plan to replace this with a metal shovel, because I mostly hike in Finland.
On a positive note, it seems otherwise well-designed and constructed.
